“The Power of Creative Destruction: for a fighting optimism in the post-covid world!”

The Harvard Club of France invites you to join us for a very welcome, hope-inspiring evening with Prof. Philippe Aghion. At the origin of this hope is Prof. Aghion’s latest work on the concept of “Creative Destruction.” The Harvard Club of France community will be privileged to receive Prof. Aghion, in the first week of the launch of the English version of his new book, The Power of Creative Destruction: Economic Upheaval and the Wealth of Nations.

In this interactive, remote session, Prof. Aghion, a specialist of the economics of growth and innovation, will explain how we can turn the pandemic’s challenges to our current economic model, from a threat to an opportunity, how the pending economic disruptions can be channelled for an improved, more equitable and more environmentally-friendly society.
