As so many threats are getting closer to Europe, we need to understand why the 2024 European elections matter and how they will shape the future of the EU.
The French Harvard Kennedy School Chapter is thrilled to invite you to an exceptional online discussion focussing on the upcoming European elections. This discussion will be open to Harvard communities all over Europe. Our three guest speakers, Jean-Claude Trichet, H.E. Michael Starbaek Christensen, and Lukáš Macek, will help us understand what is at stake.

Jean-Claude Trichet was President of the European Central Bank from 2003 to 2011. He previously was Governor of the Banque de France (1993-2003) and Undersecretary of the French Treasury (1987- 1993). He was elected chairman of the French “Académie des Sciences Morales et Politiques” (2023). He is honorary chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bruegel Institute (Brussels), honorary chairman of the Group of Thirty (Washington), and former European chairman of the Trilateral Commission.
